This impressive stone church from the 13th century is the world’s northernmost preserved medieval stone church – and with its thick walls, lack of a church tower, and traces of defensive structures, it perhaps resembles a fortress more than a traditional Gothic church.

Inside the church, you will find, among other things, three magnificent altarpieces from the late Middle Ages, Gothic frescoes, and a richly preserved interior that has endured through the centuries.
